What We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use Edge Terminal:

  • Account data: Your email address, hashed password (if using email/password sign-up), and profile information including your subscription plan. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google's OAuth service.
  • Usage data: Records of which markets you analyze, which features you use, and how many analyses you have consumed in a billing period.
  • Trade journal data: Trade entries you manually log, including market names, entry prices, stakes, outcomes, and any notes or tags you add.
  • Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Edge Terminal stores only a Stripe customer ID — we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or raw payment details.
  • Technical and server data: Server-side logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and error logs. These are used for security monitoring and debugging and are not linked to your personal profile for marketing purposes.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Edge Terminal service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe
  • Enforce plan limits and track analysis quota usage
  • Generate personalized insights in the My Edge section (Maxx plan)
  • Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and billing notices
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the platform
  • Improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

What We Do Not Do

We are explicit about the following commitments:

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not share your trade journal data with any third party.
  • We do not use your trade journal data or personal analyses to train AI models without your explicit, affirmative consent.
  • We do not send marketing emails to third parties using your data.
  • We do not build advertising profiles from your usage.

Third-Party Services

Edge Terminal uses the following third-party infrastructure providers:

  • Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Your account data, trade journal entries, and usage records are stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL. Supabase is subject to its own privacy policy.
  • Stripe: Our payment processor. All payment data is handled by Stripe. We only store your Stripe customer ID. Stripe is subject to its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
  • Anthropic / Claude API: We send market context and research data to Anthropic's Claude API to generate analyses. Prompts and responses are logged to our own database for quality and debugging purposes. We do not send your personal account data or trade journal to the Claude API.
  • Vercel: Our hosting and deployment provider. Vercel processes request data as part of serving the application. Vercel is subject to its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and associated records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate security and fraud-prevention purposes. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These rights may include:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate data
  • The right to delete your personal data (right to erasure)
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data)

Cookies

Edge Terminal uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your authentication session. We use only functional, session-based cookies necessary to operate the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Sensitive credentials (such as exchange API keys you voluntarily provide) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Authentication is managed by Supabase, which uses industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Edge Terminal is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by posting a notice within the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Edge Terminal after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
